Overview
Abbas the history teacher traveled to Iraq in search of money and left his wife and children. Upon his return after spending years in prison, he discovers that his family thinks him dead. His wife married his best friend, and he's forced to live under another guy's identity, Lotfy Al-Ganainy.

Episode 1
Moharram and Nahid throw a birthday party for their son Baybars as they recall their marriage after her first husband Abbas's death. Mohga is worried about the disappearance of her husband Lotfy for 20 years. Meanwhile, Lotfy crosses the borders with Morsy and tells him that his real name is Abbas.

Episode 2
Abbas recalls how he got the deceased Lotfy Al-Ganainy's passport to evade a death sentence and imprisonment. Mohga goes to pick up Abbas with her children, and she conceals her shock at his different appearance.

Moharram appoints Baybars as CEO of the company, and Nahid is enraged at her son for his lack of responsibility and frequent outings. Mohga is arrested on theft charges after the adopted child Wahid steals gold jewelry from Ragaa's house.

Abbas decides to help Mohga and get her out of prison before he returns to Nahid. When he goes to the police station, he crosses paths with Baybars, unaware that he is his son and the two quarrel over Baybar's disrespect and immorality. Mohga is released and Abbas goes to his old house.

Abbas learns that his wealthy uncle has died, and he goes to the lawyer to get his inheritance. However, he is injured in an accident and is taken to Mohga's house where he reveals his true identity to her, but his confession is met with disbelief.

Abbas notices Lubna's infatuation with the wealthy young man Hesham, but he is unaware that they are married in secret. Abbas asks Morsy to find his son Baybars, and signs promissory notes to pay Mohga's debts.

Upon informing Abbas of her secret marriage, Abbas slaps Lubna and she tries to commit suicide. Mohga affirms that Abbas isn't her long-lost husband. Meanwhile, Nahid quarrels with her son Baybars for his wish to effect new changes at the company without Moharram's approval.

Moharram berates Tamer and Baybars when they return home wasted. Abbas promises to help Lubna out of her adversity, and he goes to his old villa where he learns that Nahid married his best friend Moharram. Both Nahid and Moharram deny any knowledge of who Abbas is.

Rasha accidentally hits Abbas with her car, and he goes with her to help her sick father. Moharram and Nahid discuss Abbas's sudden appearance. Hesham's father rejects his son's marriage to Lubna.

As Abbas goes to the villa to return the money, Moharram and Nahid accuse him of robbing them and kick him out. Mohga futilely tries to prove Abbas's innocence. Abbas saves money to have his book published. Nevine steals Nahid's necklace from Sa'ied.

Moharram rewards Mahmoud as he solves a problem caused by Sa'ied. When Laila goes to buy a history book, she flees upon seeing that Abbas is the seller. Nahid prepares for Laila's birthday and is shocked to see her necklace around Nevine's neck.

Abbas sends Laila the book as a gift. Nahid visits Nevine to see how she got the necklace, and she is shocked to discover that Nevine is in a relationship with Baybars. Laila visits Abbas who tells her that he is her father's friend.

Moharram asks for Abbas's help to save Baybars. Abbas quarrels with Mohga for visiting Nahid. Nevine breaks up with Sa'ied and goes on a trip with Baybars.

Abbas's debts are paid off and he is released. Mahmoud and Laila cross paths at the company and quarrel. Laila visits Abbas and starts getting friendly with him.

Lubna has a miscarriage. Mahmoud is granted forgiveness and he and Abbas return home safe and sound. Nahid begs Moharram to save Baybars. Hesham and Lubna get married.

Sa'ied shoots Baybars but he survives the gunshot. Abbas reveals his true identity and that he is Baybars and Laila's father. Abbas's book receives an award and he marries Mohga, while Mahmoud marries Laila.
